What Is Kratom?

PLANT NAME: Mitragyna Speciosa

Common Names: Kratom, Ketum, Thang, Icthang, Kakuam, Kraton, Thom, and Biak-biak

ACTIVE CONSTITUENT

IMPORTANT ACTIVE ALKALOIDS IN KRATOM ARE MITRAGYNINE AND 7-HYDROXYMITRAGYNINE. THESE ALKALOIDS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR STIMULATING EFFECTS AND SOME OTHER BENEFICIAL REACTIONS

EFFECTS:  Kratom acts as a ¼-opioid receptor.

Kratom is quite unique, in that, in low to moderate doses it will commonly be stimulating, and in large doses, it has a more sedative effect.

The level of effect, like any other supplement, depends on many factors including body weight, physiological makeup, tolerance level, and so on.

As a stimulant, used in low to moderate doses, the user will experience an analgesic effect along with physical energy, alertness, increased libido, sociability, improved mindset or mood, focus, and an overall improved attitude.

In some cases when taken in large doses, an individual may experience edginess similar to being over-caffeinated.

As a sedative, used in higher doses, an individual will experience an effect that helps one find calmness and feel physically, emotionally, relaxed, as well as have some anti-depression, and anti-anxiety attributes.

Used in excess, it may result in prolonged sleep. There are reports of impaired motor function in this state as well.

The pharmacological effects of Kratom on humans, including its effectiveness and safety, are not researched and studied in-depth.

Most side effects of Kratom are thought to be mild. However, isolated side effects such as psychosis, convulsions, hallucinations, sweating, nausea, vomiting, chest pain, dizziness, and confusion have also been reported.

There have been reports stating that the plant carries the potential for addiction and can lead to withdrawal symptoms in users who decide to stop using without tampering down.

Usage: Most use this for energy throughout the day and some may find that it has other attributes to help with pain even though this claim has not been evaluated by the FDA. All claims are hearsay and are not scientifically to prevent or help any ailment. There are ONLY 3 types of Kratom strains:

• White Vein
• Red Vein
• Green Vein.
• “Not yellow”

The types are classified depending on the coloration of the central vein in the leaf.

Red Vein leaves are viewed as better for some purposes while White Vein or Green Vein herbs may be more effective for other purposes.

Kratom has multiple strains. There are various names referring to the same types of Kratom. This, unfortunately, signature leads to confusion and results in many vendors re-branding traditional strains with interesting new names.

The traditional names for the strains of Kratom come from the regions in Indonesia, Malaysia, and signature Thailand.

The main types of Kratom, although there are many names out there that are referring to these strains, are typically named for the region where the strains are grown:

• Thai (Grown in Thailand)
• Indo (Grown in Indonesia)
• Malay (Grown in Malaysia)
• Borneo (This is Indo grown in Indonesia)
• Maeng Da (Not a region, but an enhanced version of Thai)
• Bali (a combination of Sumatra and Borneo. Supposedly Bali was named this because it was in Bali where the combination was first created.)

Many new names for strains of Kratom keep emerging. Despite the new names, all strains of Kratom are usually Thai, Indoor Malay, or combinations of signature these.”

How Safe Is Kratom?

When taken by itself, the greatest risk in consuming Kratom is the possibility of having blurry vision, stomach pains, and nausea.

Like any psychoactive substance, it is recommended that the user does not drive or operate heavy machinery while under the influence of Kratom.

It’s advised to always use common sense and err on the side of caution. It is recommended to use Kratom responsibly, and moderately.

Due to the lack of medical research regarding the use of Kratom in relation to pregnancy, pregnant women are advised not to use any drug or medication with this drug without the advice of a medical physician.

While there are concerns about the potential for addiction and abuse, it is generally agreed that when used in moderate doses there are no risks of either.

Does Kratom Cause Health Issues?

Health problems are unlikely unless the user is consuming large quantities of Kratom every day.

There are reports of Kratom withdrawal symptoms, which may include muscle aches, irritability, crying, runny nose, diarrhea, and muscle jerking.

It is uncommon, but an individual could possibly experience an allergic or other unusual reaction to Kratom, even if used responsibly.

When using an excessive amount, an individual’s body may simply reject the substance. As a result, the user may experience a natural physiological reaction of emesis, or vomiting, as the body’s way of rejecting the substance.

In the United States, it’s legal to possess Kratom in almost all States, but not in Arkansas, Wisconsin, Indian, Alabama, and Vermont

Why Can’t I Use A Credit Card?

If you have purchased kratom through Cali Botanicals before, you may have noticed that we no longer accept credit cards as a payment option. We apologize for the inconvenience because we completely understand that card payments are the easiest way to go about purchasing our products online; however, we are no longer able to offer this option due to constraints we are facing by credit card companies.

When we first opened five years ago, Cali Botanicals used a domestic processor for credit card purchases. For a while, this worked out well, until companies like Visa and Mastercard found it risky to conduct business with companies that involved the sale of kratom. More specifically, kratom was labeled a brand-damaging product. This is because kratom, a completely natural, herbal supplement, has yet to be approved by the FDA. Measures have been taken in the past by the DEA to turn kratom into a schedule one drug, but there was so much public outcry that the government had no choice but to back off from this attempt.

Therefore, rather than take drastic, fraudulent measures to override these constraints, we have no choice but to offer alternative methods of payment. Customers of Cali Botanicals have the option of Cash on Delivery (COD), or electronic checks (e-checks). The way eChecks work is simple; customers are required to enter their checking account number as well as their routing number to complete a transaction.

I Want To Return My Purchase! What do I do?

You may return your purchase within 20 days of receiving your order for 100% money back guarantee. This will exclude shipping and handling costs for your return. If a product arrives damaged, or we made an error, and it cannot be fixed with a replacement, we will pay to return the item to us and send a replacement to you. If you decide you do not want an alternative, the item can be returned for, and you will be refunded if it is within the dates of our money back guarantee. Please keep in mind that if you decide to return our product(s) for your money back, you are required to pay for all shipping costs.

All returned products must be in original condition and packaging, or additional charges may be applied. Unfortunately, we cannot take returns of products that have been modified, and it is up to us to make sure the replacement is within its boundaries for the guarantee. Wrap the package carefully. All return products must be in original condition and packaging; otherwise, additional charges can be applied and even denied if we believe there has been tampering or, the returned product is not what we may consider our product.

Return the product using your preferred shipping method to our address.

Save your return tracking number, and if possible, e-mail it to us so we can track the return. It is essential that you save the tracking number and that you insure the return package in case there are any issues during transit.
